BB Cushion & CC Cushion + When to Wear Them
Hellooooo!
It's been so long since my last post here because I'm so busy with my uni-life!☹
But today, I'm back writing again and I promise to write more often here!
I tried a lot of new beauty products lately, so today I want to share one (actually two) of them to you guys!
And, the chosen product is CUSHION!
I'm pretty sure that a lot of people (including me) got confused by those letters that stand in front of the word cushion. So, I'm here to help you guys! Not as an expert definitely, so please correct me on the comment section if I wrote something wrong, or you know more information!
So, let's get started!
I have Laneige BB Cushion on the left and The Face Shop CC Cushion on the right.
The Laneige one looks bigger because the packaging contain one extra refill in it.
Both are in the shade Natural Beige.
By looking at the packaging, both of them contain SPF 50+ PA+++, but I do think that you still need to wear sunscreen before wearing any make up.
I will write about the importance of sunscreen and other skincare products on my next blog post. (if I'm not too lazy to write, 'kay? HAHAHA)
They look pretty similar, right? (Except the Laneige one is dirtier, LOL. It's simply because I wear it more often than the TFS one.)
The shade looks a bit different too, but the difference is not that obvious.
What are the differences?
BB Cushion
"BB" stands for beauty balm or blemish balm. It acts like primer, moisturizer, and foundation only in one product. It also called as the child of skincare and make-up.
Coverage: Medium
Finish: Dewy
Staying Power: 4-6 Hours
Texture: Light and cooling
I like to wear it as my daily cushion because it feels so light on my skin and has natural dewy finish. Its coverage level is medium, but I can say that it is pretty buildable. You can add more layer to cover blemishes and redness on your face.
CC Cushion
"CC" stands for color correcting. It pretty much the same but it formulated to do the job that BB one failed to do, like to even out skin tone and correct patches and redness.
Coverage: High
Finish: Dewy
Staying Power: 8-9 Hours
Texture: A bit thicker but still cooling
I think that CC Cushion is more suitable to wear if you have an important occasion that requires you to wear make-up, like a party, etc, because it has a long staying power.
It covers all my redness really well only with one layer, but it feels a bit sticky on my face so I don't like to use it daily because for me (who doesn't really wear any cushion as a daily basis), it feels a bit thick and I don't really like the feeling.
It's all I can wrote based on my experiences. You still have to remember that this post is only a comparison between two products on two different brands. Another brands have their own plus and minus, so you can really judge only by my post.
My suggestion is, you still have to try by yourself to choose the right one for you! But if you're too scared to try on a random product, you have to read a lot of reviews of the product first.
(+ a shameless boomerang when I wore the Laneige BB Cushion)
I wish this post will help you guys!
See you next time!
