Why Skincare Is Important (+My Skincare Routine)

Until last year, I was a make-up > skincare person, but after I had some skin problems that can't be solved by wearing make up, and later on I realize that actually hiding my skin problem using make up make them worse. I started my skincare routine and start feeling my skin get better. And now I'm gonna share my thought to you guys so you will realize that skincare is really important to you.

Everyday, our skin is exposed to the sun, and we all know that sunlight is the main source of ultraviolet ray, and that UV radiation cause damage to our skin. Not only the visible damage, by damaging the skin's cellular DNA, excessive UV radiation even produces genetic mutations that can lead to skin cancer. Now, you know that using skincare is not only make your skin more beautiful, but it also make your skin healthier.

Babies have smooth, soft skin that is wrinkle free and moist. Over time harsh elements in the environment wear on the skin making is dryer and tougher. With age comes wrinkles and sagging in the skin. Good skincare can slow down the harmful effects of time and the environment.

Are those two reasons enough for you to finally decide to use skincare?

And, I still have another extra reason why you need to use skincare: when you use more skincare, you'll need less make up.
A good skin won't need neither thick foundation nor concealer because there's nothing to hide! Less blemishes, less redness, less uneven skin tone, less every-single-bad-thing-on-your-skin, so you don't need to hide anything!
You'll need less highlighter too simply because when your skin is in its best condition, it will has it natural glow and it'll be even better than your expensive-Mary-Lou-Manizer-highlighter, trust me!
Plus, when you have a good skin and you still like to wear make up, your make up will look better and stick longer on your skin, a good base will results better make up look, right?

I've did my skincare routine for only about two months. I don't have that beautiful perfect skin, but I know that my skin right now is in a better condition than it was before.
I used to have a lot of excess oil all over my face and dry patches in some area, can you imagine how bad is it? Then I start to do some research to fix my skin problems and I decided to stick on a skincare routine, and I feel a lot better now.
Truthfully speaking, I'm not an expert on skincare but I read a lot about them. So, when you read any articles on the internet, do some research, find a lot of references, and don't just believe what the articles say without any proofs. And, you should do that to this post too! HAHA

So, the question is, how to find the right skincare routine for you?

1. Understand your skin type

This is the most important thing you should know before you start buying skincare products. You should what are the things that your skin needs. There is four(+one) basic types for skin: Normal, Dry, Oily, and Combination, plus Sensitive.
Each skin type has its own problems, so it'll need different products too.

2. Do some research

HAHAHA, research, research, research. I really think that it is very important to read reviews about a product before you buy it. Plus, you should also find the most suitable product to your skin problem. Each problem has its own solution, right?

3. Trial and Error

When you think you already found the perfect one (HAHA), buy it, try it. Sometimes a product can makes your skin problem disappear overnight like a miracle. But sometimes, it can even makes your skin problem worse! So, finding the right product is simply a trial-and-error. But you can minimize the errors by simply doing the step number two, DO RESEARCH!

4. Do Your Routine Diligently

Just like what I've said before, some products can work like a miracle overnight. But mostly, they take time and patience. You should stick on your routine, do it diligently, never skip your routine, so your routine will give you the best result!
